Heavy Vehicle Driver

Toyota Lanka (Private) Limited , a proud member of the Toyota Group Japan and the sole authorized distributor for Toyota and HINO in Sri Lanka, is looking for a disciplined and experienced Heavy Vehicle Driver . As a representative of Sri Lanka’s “Most Loved Automobile Brand,” you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of high-value vehicles and equipment, upholding the global standards of quality and excellence that define the Toyota brand.

The Role: Precision Logistics & Fleet Safety

In this position, you will ensure the seamless movement of heavy vehicles while maintaining the mechanical integrity of the assets under your care.

• Safe Transport: Execute the transport of heavy vehicles and machinery (including HINO trucks) between ports, yards, and branches across Sri Lanka.

• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine pre-trip inspections to ensure fuel, oil, tire pressure, and brake systems meet Toyota’s rigorous safety standards.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery notes, and fuel consumption records in compliance with company policy.

• Brand Representation: Act as a professional ambassador for Toyota Lanka while on the road, adhering to all traffic regulations and corporate codes of conduct.

• Asset Protection: Ensure that all vehicles are loaded, transported, and unloaded without damage, maintaining the “Quality, Durability, and Reliability” (QDR) for which Toyota is world-renowned.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a reliable professional with a clean driving record and a deep commitment to road safety.

• Licensing: Must possess a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License .

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience operating heavy vehicles (trucks, prime movers, or buses).

• Age: Between 25 and 40 years .

• Communication: Ability to speak in English is considered a significant added qualification.

• Personal Attributes:

  • Strong sense of discipline and punctuality.

  • Physical fitness required for long-distance driving and vehicle handling.

  • Clean judicial and traffic record.
