Cashier – Kalutara Branch

Toyota Lanka (Private) Limited , the sole authorized distributor for Toyota and HINO in Sri Lanka, is seeking a precise and reliable Cashier to join our Kalutara branch. As a key member of our frontline finance team, you will be responsible for the seamless execution of all financial transactions, ensuring that every customer interaction is handled with the integrity and professionalism synonymous with the Toyota brand. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong foundation in accounting and the technical ability to operate within modern ERP systems.

The Role: Financial Transactions & Cash Management

As the Branch Cashier, you will manage the daily inflow of payments and ensure absolute accuracy in our financial records.

• Transaction Processing: Accurately handle and process all customer payments, including cash, credit cards, and checks , ensuring every transaction is recorded correctly.

• Cashiering Governance: Execute the cashier function with a high degree of precision, minimizing discrepancies and adhering to strict internal controls.

• Daily Settlement: Manage and balance daily cash accounts, ensuring that physical cash matches system records at the end of every shift.

• Reconciliations: Maintain up-to-date bank and account reconciliations, ensuring that all branch-level financial data is audit-ready.

• Reporting: Prepare periodic transaction reports for the branch management and Head Office Finance team, providing clear visibility into daily collections.

• ERP Operations: Utilize our in-house ERP systems and MS Excel to record and track all financial movements in real-time.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a disciplined individual with a strong sense of accountability and a commitment to customer excellence.

• Education: Successful completion of the GCE A/L examination.

• Professional Credentials: Part qualification in AAT or a Diploma-level qualification in Finance is required.

• Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in a similar cashiering or frontline finance role.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proven ability to work in a computerized environment.

  • Hands-on experience with ERP Systems .

  • Good proficiency in MS Excel for data entry and basic reporting.

• Location Requirement: Candidates must live in close proximity to the Toyota Lanka Kalutara branch.
