Junior HR Business Partner (UAE National) | Al-Futtaim Retail | Marks & Spencer

Role Overview Al-Futtaim Retail is seeking a high-potential Junior HR Business Partner to join our Emirati Talent program. In this dynamic generalist role, you will support the end-to-end HR lifecycle for our iconic Marks & Spencer brand. You will act as a critical link between store operations and corporate HR, overseeing everything from manpower budgeting and talent acquisition to employee relations and SAP organizational maintenance. This position is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented professional who can handle sensitive personnel information with the highest level of confidentiality and diplomatic flair.


Key Responsibilities

Manpower Budgeting & Analytical Reporting

  • Budget Planning: Support the Senior HRBP in collating regional manpower requirements, validating budget assumptions, and ensuring precise data entry across all cost centers.

  • Headcount Tracking: Create and maintain comprehensive headcount tracking sheets by band and cost center to monitor budget approvals.

  • Performance Management: Compile PDR (Performance Development Review) ratings and forms, ensuring conformity and providing content guidance for store-level management.

  • Data Analysis: Analyze HR data and variances to prepare insightful reports that drive informed management decisions.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Recruitment Execution: Lead manpower planning and recruitment activities for Band G and below, including our diverse store teams.

  • System Management: Coordinate with the Talent Acquisition team to manage SuccessFactors requisitions, ensuring all positions are filled within a 45-day target.

  • Compliance: Ensure all recruitment activities adhere to internal audit guidelines and regional labor procedures.

Employee Relations & HR Administration

  • Disciplinary Governance: Review disciplinary cases, verify evidence, and prepare documentation in coordination with the Senior HRBP. Ensure all disciplinary letters are issued within a 7-day window.

  • Payroll & Costs: Conduct essential checks for HR-related costs and accruals, ensuring payroll records are accurate and payments are delivered on time.

  • Audit Readiness: Train store administrative teams on data-keeping standards to ensure 100% audit compliance.

Systems & Organizational Integrity

  • SAP HCM Maintenance: Conduct regular checks on SAP to ensure workflows, employee transfers, and status changes are reflected accurately in real-time.

  • Org Chart Management: Work with line managers to ensure organizational charts remain updated and reflect the current business structure.

  • Brand Ambassadorship: Act as a representative for Al-Futtaim and M&S values, building strong relationships with Group functions and store teams to leverage operational support.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Eligibility: Must be a UAE National.

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience: * Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in Personnel Administration or an HR Generalist role.

    • Strong understanding of personnel workflows, HR policy, and regional labor laws.

  • Technical Proficiency:

    • Essential: Advanced proficiency in SAP HCM and MS Office (specifically Excel).

    • Familiarity with SuccessFactors is highly desirable.

  • Core Competencies:

    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage complex organizational data.

    • Diplomatic approach to handling sensitive information and employee relations.
