Role Overview Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Site Inspector – Civil to join our team in Abu Dhabi! In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the successful execution and quality of road and utility infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for conducting rigorous on-site inspections, enforcing company and international standards, and ensuring that every phase of construction aligns with approved engineering designs. Key Responsibilities

Field Inspection & Oversight

• Construction Supervision: Oversee day-to-day civil construction activities to ensure strict compliance with approved plans, project specifications, and UAE standards.

• Progress Tracking: Perform regular site visits to monitor construction milestones, ensuring that workmanship meets the highest quality benchmarks.

• Blueprints & Specs: Interpret complex blueprints and construction specifications to guide contractors and verify that field execution matches design intent.

Quality Control & Safety Enforcement

• Safety Leadership: Enforce unwavering adherence to site safety regulations and HSE protocols to maintain a zero-incident environment.

• Standardization: Support the development and implementation of standardized inspection procedures and quality control protocols across the project.

• Issue Resolution: Collaborate proactively with contractors, engineers, and stakeholders to identify, address, and resolve technical discrepancies or site issues.

Documentation & Reporting

• Inspection Records: Maintain comprehensive and detailed records of all inspection results, ensuring documentation is accurate and current.

• Reporting: Prepare professional site reports for management, documenting progress, quality concerns, and corrective actions taken.

• Data Management: Organize and manage project inspection files, ensuring all records are complete and easily accessible for audits or reviews.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.

• Experience: * Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction supervision of Roads and Infrastructure projects.

  • Previous experience working within an engineering consulting firm is highly preferred.

  • Regional experience in Abu Dhabi, the UAE, or the wider GCC is a significant advantage.

• Technical Proficiency:

  • Advanced ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical specifications.

  • Thorough familiarity with construction processes specific to civil infrastructure and utilities.

• Core Competencies:

  • Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical information logically and clearly to management and staff.

  • Detail Orientation: A meticulous approach to verifying workmanship and managing documentation.

  • Problem Solving: Ability to work collaboratively to resolve site-level challenges.
