The Role

As Executive Chef, you hold full responsibility for elevating the hotel’s gastronomic reputation through the production of world-class cuisine and the mentorship of a premier kitchen brigade. You will oversee the strategic and operational management of all culinary departments, ensuring that every plate meets the highest international standards of luxury hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Development: Lead and inspire the kitchen brigade, focusing on continuous talent development and robust succession planning.

  • Culinary Innovation: Curate exceptional menus that exceed guest expectations while remaining strictly aligned with Conrad brand standards.

  • Operational Excellence: Manage all aspects of the kitchen, including budgeting, forecasting, resource allocation, and waste management.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure consistent, high-quality food production across all 12 outlets, maintaining a proactive presence in all culinary areas.

  • Financial Stewardship: Drive gross profit margins and departmental financial targets by controlling costs without compromising luxury standards.

  • Guest Engagement: Foster positive relations through proactive interaction with Guests, Team Members, and suppliers, responding to feedback with speed and efficiency.

  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure total adherence to health, safety, and food legislation, maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of local regulations and Hilton’s security protocols.

  • Strategic Planning: Regularly review menus with the F&B Manager to ensure offerings are trend-forward and environmentally conscious.

  • Administration: Manage staff performance, recruitment, scheduling, and monthly communication meetings in accordance with local labor laws.

What Are We Looking For?

To successfully lead the culinary team at Conrad Abu Dhabi, you should demonstrate the following attributes and qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven track record as an Executive Chef (or high-performing Sous Chef) within a first-class, luxury property.

  • Visionary Leadership: Exceptional ability to lead, mentor, and organize a diverse, multicultural kitchen team.

  • Business Acumen: A strategic, business-focused approach to managing high-volume hotel kitchen operations.

  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships.

  • Technical Credentials: A current, valid trade qualification (certification in management is a significant advantage).

  • Organization: Expert planning skills with the ability to multi-task and meet rigorous deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
