Coordinator – Line Maintenance | Air Arabia | Sharjah, UAE
Role Overview
Air Arabia is seeking an organized and proactive Coordinator – Line Maintenance to provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to our Engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will be the backbone of the Line Maintenance department, managing everything from complex manpower allocation and GCAA license tracking to procurement and training logistics. You will ensure that all administrative activities are executed with high precision and in full compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who excels in a fast-paced environment and possesses the technical aptitude to support a large-scale aviation maintenance operation.
Key Responsibilities
Personnel & Roster Management

Manpower Coordination: Manage the G9 Line Maintenance roster, ensuring shift-pattern allocations are cost-effective, properly communicated, and in full compliance with GCAA regulations.

Attendance & Payroll: Coordinate with Line Shift Managers and HR to finalize monthly time sheets and overtime calculations based on attendance control systems and company policies.

Credential Tracking: Proactively monitor and track GCAA license applications and expiries, ensuring the technical team remains legally compliant and operational.
Operational & Training Logistics

Training Coordination: Partner with the Training Manager to schedule staff for mandatory and developmental training. Handle all logistics, including nominations, travel arrangements, payments, and certificate record-keeping.

Meeting Administration: Organize departmental meetings, prepare agendas, and record/circulate minutes to ensure clear communication across the Engineering function.

Uniforms & Safety Gear: Manage the procurement, distribution, and inventory of staff uniforms and critical safety equipment (e.g., helmets, safety vests), focusing on efficient utilization.
Procurement & Administrative Oversight

Inventory Management: Oversee purchase requests and procurement in coordination with the Procurement Department, ensuring all materials are received and stored according to company procedures.

Vendor Relations: Handle administrative relations with third-party companies, vendors, and suppliers, including contract management and payment processing.

Database Integrity: Maintain an accurate and up-to-date database for the Line Maintenance team, ensuring all personnel records are meticulously filed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting

Departmental Liaison: Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Safety, MCC, IT, Legal, and Finance on function-related matters to ensure a seamless workflow.

Outstation Support: Assist the Outstations Coordinator with communication and manpower allocation to ensure smooth operations across the network.

Analytical Reporting: Generate performance, attendance, and safety reports (e.g., AOG reports, injury reports) to support data-driven decision-making.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Education: * Bachelor’s degree in Management or Business Administration is preferred.

A Higher Diploma in Office Management or Secretarial Skills is acceptable.

Experience:

2+ years of experience in an administrative or coordinator role, specifically dealing with staff matters and contracts.

Proven experience handling rosters and shift-pattern manpower allocation.

Experience within the aviation industry (specifically low-cost carriers) is highly preferred.

Technical Proficiency:

Expert-level command of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Ability to work with complex data and resources in a cost-effective manner.
