Role Overview  

As part of the Delivery Hero Group, talabat is seeking a highly organized and solution-oriented Associate Inventory Controller. In this role, you will be the guardian of our stock integrity, ensuring that inventory across all stores is secure, accurately identified, and strategically accessible. You will bridge the gap between physical stock and financial reporting, conducting rigorous analysis to align inventory levels with production and sales demands. This is a hands-on position designed for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment and excels at managing complex stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Governance & Monitoring

• Daily Oversight: Monitor stock movements and generate daily reports on inventory adjustments to maintain real-time accuracy.

• Category Reporting: Provide comprehensive stock reports at the category level for all stores, ensuring visibility for regional leadership.

• Accuracy & Security: Ensure all inventories (raw materials, subassemblies, and finished goods) are properly identified, secure, and accessible only to authorized personnel.

Operational Support & Investigation

• Store Guidance: Act as a technical lead for stores, providing guidance on receiving deliveries, returning Purchase Orders (POs), and resolving operational stock issues.

• Field Audits: Conduct physical stock-takes and cycle counts. Perform spot checks and store visits to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.

• System Integrity: Identify and report system issues affecting store operations and stock data to ensure seamless technological performance.

Financial Reconciliation & Analysis

• Invoice Matching: Collaborate closely with the Finance department to match invoices and resolve discrepancies between delivered goods and financial records.

• Shrinkage Management: Provide weekly reports to the General Manager detailing total inventory adjustments and the percentage of shrinkage against sales.

• Monthly Closures: Lead monthly reconciliations with Finance and generate turnover reports to assess inventory health and efficiency.

What You Need to Be Successful

• Experience: Minimum of 4+ years of professional experience in Inventory Management.

• Communication: Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior-level executives and diverse stakeholders.

• Problem-Solving: A “solution provider” mindset—structured, detail-oriented, and capable of resolving bottlenecks rather than creating them.

• Adaptability: An energized approach to the unknown and a commitment to continuous learning in a high-growth environment.

• Interpersonal Skills: Robust intercultural skills with the ability to inspire teams to rally behind operational missions.

• Language: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is highly advantageous.
