AI Product Expert for Utilities | SAP | UAE & KSA

Role Overview

SAP is seeking an AI Product Expert for Utilities to join a specialized, high-impact team serving the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. In this “forward-deployed” role, you will act as a technical architect and strategic advisor, working directly with Utilities customers to identify, design, and implement production-ready AI solutions. You will bridge the gap between regional customer needs and global Product & Engineering teams, turning complex industry challenges—such as Meter-to-Cash or Quote-to-Cash processes—into scalable AI-driven outcomes.

What You Will Build

AI Solution Design & Implementation

  • End-to-End Solutions: Design and implement AI systems on top of S/4HANA and SAP BTP, managing the full stack from data pipelines to UI integration.

  • Model Integration: Utilize SAP Business AI and BTP services for advanced patterns including forecasting, classification, and generative AI assistants (Copilots).

  • Agile Delivery: Lead rapid development cycles (PoC → Pilot → Production), gathering user feedback to drive adoption within real-world business processes.

Strategic Customer Collaboration

  • Discovery & Prioritization: Lead workshops with Utilities customers in KSA to frame and prioritize high-impact AI use cases.

  • Regional Roadmap Influence: Serve as the technical bridge for the Riyadh Lab, feeding local requirements and gaps directly into the global SAP product roadmap.

  • Scalable Accelerators: Produce reference architectures, templates, and best practices to be used as reusable accelerators across the Middle East.

What You Bring

  • Technical Core: Strong software engineering background (Python, Java, or TypeScript) with hands-on experience in SAP BTP and system integrations.

  • AI/ML Proficiency: Solid grounding in data modeling, APIs, and common AI patterns (forecasting, classification, LLMs).

  • Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of Utilities industry processes (e.g., Meter-to-Cash) and SAP’s industry-specific portfolio.

  • Customer-Facing Confidence: Ability to lead workshops, deliver technical demos, and explain complex trade-offs in business terms to senior stakeholders.

  • Operational Mindset: Highly proactive, tolerant of ambiguity, and motivated by measurable customer impact.
