Role Overview
As a Lead Engineer for Qatar Executive (QE), you are the primary authority responsible for the serviceability, airworthiness, and safety of our world-class corporate fleet. This leadership role demands a mastery of QCAA regulations and a commitment to the highest standards of technical excellence. You will manage high-performance technical teams to deliver scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in the most productive and cost-effective manner possible, ensuring our elite clientele experiences 100% aircraft availability and 5-star cabin reliability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Maintenance Leadership

Operational Command: Direct and manage shift resources—including personnel allocation, training, and leave coverage—to ensure optimum maintenance capacity at all times.

Release Authority: Exercise your license and approvals to certify the Certificate of Release to Service (CRS), ensuring all work complies with TPM, QE, and legislative requirements.

Performance Accountability: Take full ownership of the technical group’s performance, ensuring maintenance targets, system reliability, and aircraft availability metrics are consistently met.
2. Technical Execution & Problem Solving

Complex Rectification: Supervise the troubleshooting and resolution of complex aircraft defects, prioritizing critical systems to ensure the operating program remains on schedule.

OEM Collaboration: Partner with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), vendors, and suppliers to engineer long-term solutions for persistent technical challenges.

Process Innovation: Review and refine work procedures, equipment usage, and maintenance standards to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
3. Mentorship & Organizational Support

Succession Planning: Train and develop junior engineers and technicians, ensuring a robust talent pipeline and effective risk management for the department.

Inter-departmental Synergy: Provide expert assistance to CAMO and Engineering departments in the development and preparation of complex maintenance work packages.

Reporting & Governance: Keep the Maintenance Manager informed of impending technical risks or cabin serviceability issues that could impact the premium customer experience.
Qualifications & Experience

Experience: * Minimum of 6 years of job-related aircraft maintenance experience.

Proven track record in a supervisory role performing both Line and Base maintenance.

Licensing & Ratings: * Holder of an ICAO Mechanical or Avionics license (EASA License highly preferred).

Must hold a recognized Aircraft Type Rating, preferably on a current or planned Qatar Executive aircraft type.

Capability to hold a minimum of one QE aircraft type authorization.

Education: * Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant field.

Recognized Diploma in an aircraft trade.

Core Competencies: * In-depth knowledge of aircraft maintenance fundamentals and international air legislation.

Strong ability to lead diverse technical teams under high-pressure, time-sensitive conditions.
