Role Overview

As a Type Rated Captain for Qatar Executive, you will lead the flight deck of the world’s most prestigious business jet charter division. Based at our global headquarters in Doha, you will deliver an unparalleled aviation experience that blends uncompromising safety with the highest levels of luxury and exclusivity. This role is designed for seasoned aviators who possess the technical precision to operate the Bombardier BD-700 and the professional poise to serve our elite global clientele, including private individuals, government entities, and corporate leaders.

Key Accountabilities

1. Flight Operations & Safety Leadership

Command Excellence: Assume final responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, ensuring 100% compliance with Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) regulations and Qatar Airways Group standards.
Mission Precision: Manage all phases of flight for long-range, complex international missions, ensuring optimal fuel management and on-time performance.
Risk Mitigation: Exercise superior aeronautical decision-making to navigate challenging weather, high-density airspace, and diverse global airport environments.

2. Premium Service Delivery

Luxury Hospitality: Uphold the signature Qatar Executive standard of hospitality, ensuring that the in-flight experience reflects the optimum in exclusivity and discretion.
Client Interaction: Act as a premier ambassador for the Qatar Airways Group, managing high-profile passenger expectations with professionalism and diplomacy.

3. Operational Integrity

Technical Proficiency: Maintain an in-depth understanding of the BD-700 systems, performance capabilities, and emergency procedures.
Crew Resource Management (CRM): Lead a multi-disciplinary flight crew, fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes safety, clear communication, and operational efficiency.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this elite role, candidates must meet the following flight time and licensing criteria (excluding simulator time):

Total Experience: Minimum 5,000 hours total flight time on aeroplanes.
Jet Experience: Minimum 2,000 hours on Jet aircraft.
Command Experience: Minimum 1,500 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on Multi-Crew Jet aircraft.
Type Rating: Minimum of 500 hours on the Bombardier BD-700 (Global Express/5000/6000).
Licensing: Valid ATPL (ICAO/EASA/FAA) with a current Class 1 Medical Certificate.
Recency: Must have completed a flight on a jet aircraft within the past 12 months.
Language: Minimum English Language Proficiency (ELP) Level 4.
Certifications: Hold or have held a valid Instrument Rating (IR).
