Role Overview An established organization within the engineering and manufacturing sector is seeking a dynamic Assistant Manager – Human Resources to spearhead their HR operations. This is a high-impact role designed for an experienced professional capable of independently overseeing the full HR function. You will be responsible for aligning HR strategies with business growth, ensuring rigorous compliance with labor regulations, and fostering a productive organizational culture. As a leader within the department, you will also mentor a Junior HR Executive and an Intern, ensuring operational excellence across the employee lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Leadership & Operations

  • Function Oversight: Lead and manage the comprehensive HR department, including end-to-end recruitment, employee relations, and performance management systems.

  • Strategic Alignment: Provide high-level guidance to senior management on workforce planning and organizational development to support long-term business objectives.

  • Policy Governance: Develop, implement, and maintain robust HR policies and procedures that reflect company goals and industry best practices.

Employee Lifecycle & Talent Management

  • Lifecycle Excellence: Oversee the entire employee journey, from seamless onboarding and performance appraisals to professional development and structured offboarding.

  • Engagement & Culture: Drive employee engagement initiatives designed to cultivate a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.

  • Mentorship: Supervise and guide the Junior HR Executive and HR Intern, ensuring daily operations are executed accurately and efficiently.

Compliance & Administration

  • Regulatory Rigor: Ensure total organizational compliance with local labor laws, statutory regulations, and evolving HR legal requirements.

  • Data Integrity: Maintain meticulous HR records, prepare detailed management reports, and oversee all essential HR documentation.

  • Relationship Management: Act as a bridge between management and employees, utilizing strong interpersonal skills to resolve grievances and build professional rapport.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience: * Minimum of 5 years of comprehensive experience handling overall HR functions.

    • Proven track record in Strategic HR Management and department leadership.

  • Technical Knowledge:

    • Deep understanding of the entire employee lifecycle and modern HR best practices.

    • Expert knowledge of labor legislation and statutory compliance requirements.

  • Core Competencies:

    • Leadership: Ability to independently manage a department and mentor a small, dedicated team.

    • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a professional presence.

    • Analytical Thinking: Capability to translate business needs into effective HR strategies.
