Role Overview

SAP is seeking an expert-level Solution Sales Executive (SSE) for our Customer Experience (CX) line of business. This is a high-impact, strategic sales role designed for a professional who combines deep domain expertise in Commerce, Marketing, and Sales with sharp business acumen. You will lead transformative cloud solutions, driving revenue and customer success by positioning SAP as the market leader in CX innovation—specifically focusing on AI integration. As the CX owner for your assigned accounts, you will orchestrate the end-to-end customer value journey, converting complex technical potential into measurable business ROI for C-suite stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Account Leadership & Value Creation

  • Account Ownership: Act as the primary CX lead for assigned accounts, developing strategic plans that align customer objectives with the broader SAP Business Suite strategy.

  • Value Journey Mapping: Lead end-to-end process mapping to identify high-priority business challenges, creating transformation roadmaps that focus on value realization.

  • Executive Engagement: Build long-term relationships with C-suite executives, converting them into brand advocates through strategic discovery, workshops, and persuasive, independent pitches.

Innovation & Pipeline Growth

  • AI & Product Success: Drive the adoption of emerging technologies; lead AI initiatives and scalable PoCs (Proof of Concepts) to keep customers at the forefront of innovation.

  • Opportunity Management: Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing accounts to meet aggressive revenue and cloud growth targets.

  • Ecosystem Orchestration: Manage relationships with strategic partners (e.g., Accenture, Deloitte, PwC, EY) to co-innovate and develop joint go-to-market strategies.

Commercial Excellence & Adoption

  • Negotiation: Navigate complex pricing and contractual discussions, balancing organizational profitability with customer expectations.

  • Customer Success Liaison: Align with Customer Success Managers (CSM) to monitor solution outcomes, manage escalations, and secure customer references.

  • Governance: Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) focusing on solution adoption, risk mitigation, and future innovation opportunities.


Qualifications & Competencies

  • Industry Experience: 10–15 years of professional experience in B2B enterprise sales or account management.

  • Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of the CX landscape (Commerce, Marketing, Sales, and Service) and a strong understanding of current AI and SaaS trends.

  • Sales Prowess: Proven track record in multi-stakeholder SaaS cycles and expansion selling (account growth).

  • Communication: Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with proven C-suite influence.

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to map value levers and build compelling business cases based on quantified ROI.
