Mechanical Engineer – Design, Planning & Operations
We are seeking a technically rigorous and licensed Mechanical Engineer to join our Design and Planning Group. This dual-function role requires a professional who can bridge the gap between complex HVAC/AC design and real-time mechanical operations. Whether you are drafting high-efficiency ventilation systems or managing shift-based mechanical integrity, you will ensure that our infrastructure meets the highest standards of climate control, safety, and operational efficiency.
The Role: Mechanical Design & Shift Excellence
As a Mechanical Engineer within this group, you will be responsible for the technical lifecycle of our air conditioning and ventilation systems, from initial schematic planning to on-site performance monitoring.
-
HVAC/AC Design: Lead the mechanical design process for Air Conditioning (AC) and Ventilation systems, ensuring optimal airflow, thermal comfort, and energy efficiency.
-
Planning & Specification: Develop detailed mechanical plans, equipment specifications, and ductwork layouts that align with international building codes and project requirements.
-
Shift Operations: Manage mechanical systems during assigned shifts, providing technical oversight and rapid troubleshooting for mission-critical infrastructure.
-
System Optimization: Analyze existing mechanical designs to identify opportunities for modernization, heat load reduction, and cost-effective ventilation.
-
Technical Collaboration: Work closely with the Design and Planning Group to ensure that field-level operational data is integrated into future architectural and mechanical blueprints.
-
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all mechanical designs and shift activities comply with occupational health and safety (OHS) standards and environmental regulations.
Your Profile
We are looking for a licensed professional who balances design-office precision with the practical agility required for shift-based mechanical engineering.
-
Education: A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
-
Professional Credentials: Must be a Registered / Licensed Mechanical Engineer.
-
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional work experience in a mechanical engineering capacity.
-
Specialization: Proven, hands-on experience in Mechanical AC and Ventilation (HVAC) design.
-
Technical Skills:
-
Proficiency in mechanical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Mechanical, Revit MEP, or HAP for load calculations).
-
Strong understanding of psychrometrics, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics.
-
-
Core Competencies:
-
Ability to work effectively in a Shift Mechanical Engineer capacity.
-
Strong analytical skills for complex mechanical troubleshooting.
-
Excellent communication skills for coordinating with the Design and Planning team.
