Shift Executive – Finishing Operations

We are seeking a technically proficient and leadership-driven Shift Executive to manage our Fabric Finishing department. In this critical manufacturing role, you will be responsible for the final stage of fabric transformation, ensuring that every meter of fabric meets exact physical and chemical specifications before it reaches the customer. This position is ideal for a textile professional who combines deep technical knowledge of finishing machinery—such as Stenters and Compactors —with the ability to lead high-volume production shifts in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.


The Role: Production Leadership & Quality Governance

As the Shift Executive, you will own the operational performance of the finishing floor during your assigned shift, bridging the gap between raw production and market-ready fabric.

  • Shift Supervision: Lead and oversee all finishing department operations during the assigned shift, ensuring a seamless flow of materials and labor.

  • Target Achievement: Take direct responsibility for hitting daily production targets while maintaining the highest “First-Time-Right” (FTR) quality standards.

  • Process Monitoring: Closely monitor finishing workflows, including Slitting, Stenting, Drying, and Compacting , to maintain peak production efficiency and optimal machine utilization.

  • Technical Troubleshooting: Identify real-time operational bottlenecks or fabric defects (e. g., skewing, bowing, or shade variation) and implement immediate corrective actions.

  • Workforce Management: Guide, supervise, and motivate machine operators and workers, ensuring strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.

  • Reporting & Analytics: Maintain accurate production records, downtime logs, and shift reports to provide senior management with clear visibility into department performance.


Candidate Profile

We are looking for a seasoned textile expert with a profound understanding of fabric behavior and a commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Educational Credentials: Degree or NDT (National Diploma in Technology) in Textile Engineering or a related field.

  • Industry Tenure:

    • A minimum of 10 years of total professional experience .

    • At least5 years of dedicated experiencewithin aFabric Millenvironment.

  • Technical Mastery:

    • Advanced understanding ofFabric Geometryand the physical behavior of knitted/woven fabrics.

    • Sound operational knowledge of finishing machinery: Slitting machines, Stenters, Dryers, and Compactors.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Enthusiastic team player with a strong eye for detail.

    • Proven ability to work under pressure and handle the demands of aShift-basedproduction schedule.

    • Strong communication and leadership skills to manage diverse floor teams.
