Role Overview 

Our client, a distinguished and ethically grounded leader in the financial services sector, is seeking a strategic Manager – Deposits Mobilization. Reporting directly to the Head of Deposits, you will be a cornerstone of the organization’s funding strategy, responsible for the sophisticated management of the fixed deposit portfolio. This role is designed for a high-performing leader who combines technical financial acumen with a “go-getter” approach to market expansion. You will drive high-impact mobilization initiatives, cultivate relationships with elite clientele, and help steer the development of next-generation deposit products in a culture that prizes innovation and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Portfolio Leadership

• Portfolio Governance: Develop and lead the management of a high-value fixed deposit portfolio, ensuring all growth targets are met or exceeded in line with corporate benchmarks.

• Mobilization Strategy: Design and execute aggressive deposit mobilization initiatives and promotional campaigns to secure sustainable funding streams.

• Product Innovation: Analyze shifting market trends and competitor landscapes to provide critical input for the design of new, competitive deposit and savings products.

High-Value Relationship Management

• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain influential relationships with High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs), corporate entities, and strategic wealth management partners.

• Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with internal departments to ensure deposit strategies are perfectly synchronized with the organization’s broader business and liquidity goals.

• Service Excellence: Champion a culture of premium service, ensuring every client interaction reflects the organization’s commitment to excellence and professionalism.

Compliance & Operational Oversight

• Regulatory Rigor: Maintain strict adherence to national financial regulations, internal governance frameworks, and ethical banking practices.

• Performance Analytics: Monitor and report on portfolio health, mobilization metrics, and the effectiveness of growth campaigns to senior leadership.

• Digital Integration: Support the integration and promotion of digital savings and deposit platforms to enhance market reach and customer convenience.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Professional qualification (full or part-completion) in Marketing, Banking, or Finance from a recognized institution.

• Experience: * Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in deposit mobilization within the Banking or Non-Banking Financial (NBFI) sectors.

  • At least 2 years of experience at the Assistant Manager or Manager level.

  • A proven track record of consistently hitting ambitious deposit growth targets.

• Technical Mastery:

  • Deep understanding of financial regulations, liquidity management, and governance frameworks.

  • Exposure to digital savings or fintech-driven deposit products is a significant advantage.

• Core Competencies:

  • Leadership: Strong ability to lead by example and drive a target-oriented team toward collective success.

  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the presence to interface with corporate leadership and HNWIs.

  • Analytical Thinking: Capability to translate market data into actionable growth strategies.
