SAP Integration Specialist | PI/PO to CPI Migration

Role Overview 

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Integration Specialist to join our Information Systems service line. This role is focused on the design, development, and evolution of our enterprise integration landscape, with a specific emphasis on bridging traditional on-premise solutions and modern cloud architectures. You will lead critical migration efforts from SAP Process Orchestration (PO) to SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), ensuring that our business-critical data flows remain robust, scalable, and aligned with SAP’s “Cloud-First” strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Integration Design & Development

• Architectural Delivery: Design and develop end-to-end integration scenarios using both SAP PI/PO and SAP CPI platforms.

• Technical Translation: Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into efficient technical integration designs.

• Flow Configuration: Develop sophisticated interface mappings, custom workflows, and adapter configurations across a hybrid landscape.

Migration & Modernization

• PO to CPI Transition: Lead and support the strategic migration of interfaces and integration flows from SAP PO to the SAP Integration Suite (CPI).

• Landscape Maintenance: Enhance and maintain existing legacy interfaces while simultaneously optimizing new CPI tenants.

• Troubleshooting: Monitor integration performance and provide expert-level resolution for complex issues to ensure 24/7 system stability.

Collaborative Delivery

• Cross-Functional Synergy: Partner with SAP functional teams (MM, SD, FI) and technical stakeholders to ensure seamless data flow across the enterprise.

• Quality Assurance: Participate in rigorous integration testing, deployment cycles, and the creation of comprehensive technical documentation.

• Knowledge Excellence: Provide support and knowledge transfer to junior team members while staying ahead of the curve on new integration patterns and SAP methodologies.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

• Experience: * Proven track record as an SAP PI/PO Consultant with strong hands-on development skills.

  • Hands-on experience with SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) and at least one full-lifecycle end-to-end implementation.

  • Specific experience in migrating integration flows from on-premise (PO) to cloud (CPI).

• Technical Mastery:

  • Connectivity: Deep knowledge of IDocs, BAPIs, RFC, SOAP, REST, XML, and Web Services.

  • Adapters: Proficient with SOAP, REST, IDoc, JDBC, File, and SFTP adapters.

  • Scripting: Strong skills in Java/JavaScript for custom mapping and advanced integration logic.

• Education: Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Tools & Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile (JIRA/Confluence) and a solid understanding of core SAP ERP modules (MM, SD, FI).

Preferred Professional Attributes

• Certifications: SAP Certified Development Associate in SAP PI/PO or SAP Integration Suite (CPI) is highly desirable.

• Problem Solving: Advanced analytical skills with a proactive approach to learning new technologies.

• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution.
