Role Overview

As a Senior OpenText Exstream Lead, you will be the technical cornerstone for our Customer Experience Management (CCM) solutions. Your mission is to design and deliver sophisticated, high-volume communication strategies that bridge the gap between enterprise data and personalized customer engagement. You will manage the entire document composition lifecycle—from complex data mapping to seamless ECM integration—ensuring that every communication is accurate, performant, and aligned with global brand and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Application Design & Development

End-to-End Composition: Lead the design, development, and enhancement of OpenText Exstream applications tailored for high-volume, personalized customer communications.
Template Governance: Build and maintain advanced Exstream templates, business rules, and reusable components to maximize performance and consistency.
Requirement Translation: Analyze complex business needs and translate them into precise technical specifications, data mappings, and output configurations.

2. Integration & Content Lifecycle

ECM Synergy: Integrate Exstream solutions with Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platforms to facilitate efficient content retrieval, storage, and lifecycle governance.
Systems Interoperability: Ensure seamless data flow between core business systems and the document composition engine, focusing on metadata integrity and version control.

3. Quality Assurance & Production Support

Rigorous Testing: Lead unit testing and support system/integration testing (SIT/UAT), collaborating closely with QA teams to resolve defects with high efficiency.
Root-Cause Analysis: Act as the escalation point for production issues, performing deep-dive troubleshooting and implementing preventive optimizations.
Technical Leadership: Enforce development standards through code reviews, version control discipline, and high-quality documentation.

4. Strategic Collaboration

Cross-Functional Alignment: Work with leadership and stakeholders to manage risks, define project timelines, and ensure solution architecture discussions align with business goals.
Mentorship: Guide junior developers and implementation teams on best practices for scalable document composition in regulated environments.

Technical & Professional Requirements

Core Technology Stack:

OpenText Exstream: Advanced design, engine configuration, and output management.
ECM Integration: Hands-on experience with content storage, retrieval, and metadata governance patterns.
Data Handling: Expertise in XML, JSON, and complex flat-file data mappings for document triggers.

Engineering Practices:

Automation: Exposure to streamlined release practices and CI/CD for CCM deployments.
Performance Tuning: Experience in optimizing high-volume print and digital output streams.

About You: Skills & Qualifications

Experience:
- 5–9 years of overall IT experience with a heavy focus on OpenText Exstream development.
- Proven track record of delivering end-to-end implementations in high-volume, regulated environments (e.g., Finance, Insurance, or Utilities).
Technical Mastery:
- Strong understanding of the content lifecycle and ECM integration patterns.
- Advanced problem-solving skills with a focus on debugging and performance engineering.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in B.Tech, B.E., or a related field (Computer Science, Engineering, or IT).
Core Competencies:
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for interacting with business users and technical leadership.
- Adaptability: Ability to navigate ambiguous requirements and translate them into scalable architectural designs.
