Specialist, Wealth & Bancassurance | First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB)

Role Overview 

As a Specialist in Wealth & Bancassurance, you are a key driver of growth within FAB’s retail and business banking ecosystem. Your mission is to connect customers with sophisticated insurance (Bancassurance) and investment solutions that secure their financial future. This role combines high-performance sales with meticulous operational discipline, requiring a professional who can navigate complex financial regulations while delivering a 5-star onboarding experience. You will serve as a trusted advisor, using market insights to tailor value propositions that meet the unmet needs of our diverse portfolio.

Key Accountabilities

1. Sales Excellence & Relationship Management

• Target Achievement: Consistently meet and exceed monthly sales targets for Wealth and Bancassurance products in line with organizational KPIs.

• Lead Generation: Drive cross-functional growth by referring a minimum number of leads for Liabilities, Trade Working Capital, and Program Lending.

• Need-Based Selling: Establish rapport and build trust with clients by identifying their specific financial gaps and providing targeted investment or protection solutions.

• Market Intelligence: Conduct market research and customer insight analysis to develop compelling value propositions and stay ahead of competitor offerings.

2. Service Quality & Onboarding

• Seamless Onboarding: Liaise with various internal departments to streamline application processing and ensure a smooth transition for new customers.

• Turnaround Management: Reduce turnaround times (TAT) for business requirements and respond to all customer requests promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.

• Documentation: Ensure the timely and error-free completion of all sales and customer-related documentation to maintain the integrity of the bank’s records.

3. Compliance & Operational Rigor

• Regulatory Adherence: Maintain strict compliance with banking regulations, data protection laws, and Know Your Customer (KYC) standards.

• Risk Monitoring: Monitor for potential money laundering activities and coordinate remedial actions with management to safeguard the bank’s reputation.

• Query Resolution: Respond to compliance and sanctions queries within designated timeframes and ensure zero lapses on requested deferrals.

• Governance: Function within the approved authorization matrix and adhere to all Group policies and organizational governance frameworks.

About You: Skills & Qualifications

• Professional Experience:

  • 3–5 years of experience in the Banking or Financial Industry.

  • Specific experience working with Bancassurance and Wealth products within the UAE is required.

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales objectives in a high-pressure environment.

• Technical Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of financial and Wealth Management services, products, and legal structures.

  • Working knowledge of UAE market dynamics, demographic factors, and competitor landscapes.

  • Deep familiarity with relevant financial regulations and risk awareness protocols.

• Core Competencies:

  • Influence & Communication: Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to diverse audiences and influence decision-makers.

  • Coordination: Excellent interpersonal skills to navigate cross-functional departments and facilitate smooth operations.

  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in preparing presentations and data-backed reports to demonstrate business impact.

• Education:

  • University Degree (Required).

  • MBA, PGDM, or a Sales Diploma/Certification is highly preferred.
