Role Overview

As a Senior Associate Consultant within the SURE unit, you will operate at the intersection of high-level business strategy and technical network engineering. Your mission is to act as a technical advisor during the pre-sales phase, translating the complex operational needs of utility and energy providers into resilient, scalable network solutions. You will be a key driver in the digital transformation of critical infrastructure, ensuring that our clients have the connectivity frameworks required to power modern resources and energy grids.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Customer Engagement

Discovery & Consultation: Collaborate with sales teams to pinpoint customer pain points through active listening and strategic questioning.
Solution Design: Architect compelling network solutions that directly address business objectives, ensuring a balance between technical innovation and cost-efficiency.
Relationship Management: Leverage strong interpersonal skills to build long-term client relationships and generate leads through networking at industry events and conferences.

2. Technical Pre-Sales & Proposals

High-Impact Presentations: Develop and deliver technical demonstrations that showcase the value of our network solutions to both C-suite executives and technical leads.
Collaborative Documentation: Partner with internal engineering and marketing teams to craft winning proposal responses and comprehensive solution documents.
Solution Validation: Ensure that proposed network architectures are technically viable and aligned with the unique regulatory and safety standards of the Utilities and Energy sectors.

3. Market Intelligence & Leadership

Continuous Learning: Stay at the forefront of the latest network technologies (e.g., SD-WAN, 5G, IoT for Utilities) and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.
Brand Ambassadorship: Represent Infosys at industry-specific summits, contributing to our reputation as a leader in the SURE domain.

Technical & Professional Requirements

Core Domain Skills:

Pre-Sales Excellence: Foundational knowledge of pre-sales processes, including RFI/RFP management and technical discovery.
Networking Fundamentals: Deep understanding of enterprise and industrial network architectures.
Industry Context: Awareness of the specific challenges facing the Utilities, Resources, and Energy sectors (e.g., grid modernization, remote site connectivity).

About You: Skills & Qualifications

Experience: * Proven experience in a pre-sales or technical consulting capacity.
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and rapport with diverse client stakeholders.
- Experience in translating ambiguous “pain points” into structured technical requirements.
Technical Mastery: * Strong analytical skills with the ability to design end-to-end network solutions.
- Proficiency in creating executive-ready technical presentations and whitepapers.
Education: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech).
Core Competencies: * Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills for high-stakes client interactions.
- Interpersonal Skills: Natural ability to network and build professional bridges at industry events.
- Collaboration: A team-oriented mindset for working across multidisciplinary departments.
