Role Summary

As a Technology Consultant in the Innovation Lab, you are a visionary leader at the intersection of emerging technology and business strategy. Operating at the Sr. Manager level, you play a pivotal role in shaping Wipro’s strategic priorities by developing “next-gen” solutions that redefine the digital landscape. You are responsible for program-managing high-impact projects, fostering a culture of reinvention, and serving as a key advisor to leadership on the technologies that will drive the future of our industry.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Innovation & Solutioning

Drive Transformation: Develop and implement innovative models, products, and processes that align with the organization’s high-level strategic goals.
Operational Strategy: Formulate long-term operational plans and strategies with a high degree of autonomy, ensuring the Innovation Lab remains at the cutting edge.
Thought Leadership: Actively contribute to the global tech community by participating in innovation activities and publishing articles or white papers on emerging trends (e.g., AI, Quantum Computing, IoT).

2. Program & Resource Management

Execution Strategy: Define and lead the execution strategy for critical projects, ensuring they deliver measurable results linked to the function’s strategic goals.
Governance & Compliance: Implement rigorous governance practices to oversee the quality, safety, and compliance of all experimental and pilot solutions.
Risk Mitigation: Proactively establish systems and frameworks to mitigate technical and operational risks while improving efficiency and end-user experience.

3. Leadership & Team Development

People Leadership: Oversee and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, fostering a collaborative and high-efficiency work environment.
Mentorship & Coaching: Build a world-class team by coaching and mentoring direct reports, helping them realize their professional ambitions and sharpen their technical domain expertise.
Cross-Functional Influence: Influence and collaborate with leadership and teams across various departments to ensure innovation is integrated into the broader organizational fabric.

4. Stakeholder & Client Engagement

Executive Communication: Act as a bridge between the lab and senior leadership, communicating project milestones, implications, and resource needs with clarity and precision.
Collaborative Results: Work alongside other business units to transition successful lab prototypes into scalable, market-ready products for our global clients.

About You: Skills & Competencies

Professional Experience: A high degree of professional experience in technology consulting, R&D, or digital product management.
Technical Mastery: Deep understanding of modern software architectures, emerging technologies, and digital transformation frameworks.
Leadership Prowess: Proven ability to lead program teams and manage comprehensive resources autonomously.
Analytical Thinking: The capability to develop complex models and simulations to solve “unsolvable” client problems.
