Digital Content Specialist (UAE National) | IKEA RSO Jebel Ali

Role Overview IKEA is seeking a data-driven and user-centric Digital Content Specialist (Content Traffic Specialist) to lead the creation of intuitive digital experiences across our mobile, web, and app platforms. Based at the Regional Service Office in Jebel Ali, this role sits at the intersection of UX writing, content strategy, and data analysis. You will be responsible for ensuring that every digital touchpoint—from UI text to editorial features—is clear, engaging, and aligned with IKEA’s global communication standards. The ideal candidate is a bilingual professional who can translate complex customer shopping journeys into simple, persuasive digital content that drives conversion and brand loyalty.

Key Responsibilities

UX Writing & Content Creation

User-Centric Design: Lead the creation of digital content informed by UX research, data, and A/B testing to enhance the online IKEA shopping experience.
Standardization: Define and implement high standards for copy clarity across all digital formats, including UI microcopy, notifications, emails, and long-form editorial content.
Personalization: Spearhead content personalization projects to ensure users encounter relevant, high-impact messaging based on their unique behaviors.
Cross-Functional Launch: Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Technical teams to launch new features, products, and digital experiments.
Calendar Management: Develop and oversee integrated content calendars to maintain messaging consistency across all platforms.

Data Analysis & Strategic Advisory

Behavioral Insights: Analyze customer browsing, search patterns, and engagement metrics to advise on long-term content strategy and platform improvements.
Performance Reporting: Track and report on consumer analytics, generating actionable insights for future marketing campaigns and site optimizations.
Trend Integration: Stay at the forefront of digital trends and emerging technologies, adapting the IKEA digital platform to meet evolving customer needs and communication goals.

Collaboration & Optimization

Loyalty & Conversion: Work closely with the Customer Experience (CX) team to develop initiatives that retain customer loyalty and increase conversion rates.
Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in content workflows and suggest structural improvements to line management.
Stakeholder Management: Maintain excellent collaborative relationships with business owners and global partners to ensure commercial priorities are met.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in a UX writing, technical writing, or digital content role.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
Language: Demonstrated professional proficiency in both English and Arabic (written and verbal).
Technical Proficiency:
- Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in Google Analytics or similar performance tools.
- Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS) and design tools such as Adobe InCopy and InDesign.
Core Competencies:
- Exceptional ability to translate commercial objectives into actionable, simple, and clear content strategies.
- Proven track record of managing multiple high-stakes projects with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills using learned methodologies and industry guidelines.
