Role Overview 

As a Development and Planning Engineer for Qatar Executive (QE), you are the strategic architect of fleet airworthiness. Your primary mission is to balance rigorous safety and regulatory compliance with the high-demand operational needs of a premier private aviation fleet. You will oversee the entire technical planning lifecycle—from evaluating manufacturer documentation to optimizing the Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP)—ensuring that every aircraft remains mission-ready with maximum efficiency and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

1. Airworthiness & Maintenance Programming

• Program Engineering: Create, amend, and manage the Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP) to align with regulatory mandates, manufacturer updates, and fleet reliability data.

• Technical Evaluation: Analyze Service Bulletins (SB), Airworthiness Directives (AD), and vendor modifications to determine their impact on fleet safety, cost-benefit ratios, and long-term maintainability.

• Compliance Control: Maintain and update maintenance tracking systems to ensure 100% compliance with amended AMP requirements.

2. Fleet Planning & Asset Optimization

• Strategic Planning: Prepare and update the Fleet Maintenance Plan, optimizing maintenance resources and maximizing aircraft availability for our elite clientele.

• Deferred Item Management: Actively control open deferred items and plan their rectification to safeguard aircraft availability and airworthiness.

• Certification Support: Prepare and review documentation for Airworthiness Review Certificate (ARC) and Certificate of Maintenance Requirement (CMR) renewals.

3. Vendor Management & Technical Liaison

• Part 145 Oversight: Issue Work Order Requests and Task Cards to contracted maintenance organizations, ensuring they are fully prepared to meet company policies and the highest industry standards.

• Progress Tracking: Provide technical assistance to Part 145 vendors and monitor the progress of maintenance events to ensure on-time delivery.

• Operational Synergy: Act as the technical point of contact for flight crews and vendors to resolve unscheduled events or technical issues rapidly.

4. Data Analysis & Reporting

• Reliability Analytics: Analyze aircraft reliability data to identify trends and propose optimizations for the AMP.

• Executive Reporting: Prepare regular maintenance status and fleet availability reports to inform senior management and drive data-backed operational decisions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Educational Background: * Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Electronics Engineering (or equivalent).

  • Alternatively: Accepted Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) with 5 years of certifying experience, or an EASA Part 66 B1, B2, or C license.

• Preferred Experience: * Professional background in Corporate, Business, Charter, or VIP/VVIP aviation operations.

  • Hands-on proficiency with maintenance tracking software such as CAMP and TRAX.

• Communication: Exceptional command of written and spoken English.

• Core Competencies: Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage complex technical documentation under tight operational deadlines.
