Role Overview 

As a Licensed Aircraft Engineer II for Qatar Executive, you are the guardian of safety and technical excellence for our elite corporate fleet. Reporting to the Lead Engineers, you will execute and oversee both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to ensure maximum aircraft availability and 5-star cabin serviceability. This role demands a high-stakes commitment to QCAA regulations and company standards, ensuring that every aircraft under your care is returned to service with zero compromise on safety or reliability.


Key Responsibilities

1. Maintenance Execution & Technical Leadership

  • Operational Readiness: Perform high-level maintenance tasks to support the Qatar Executive commercial fleet, ensuring aircraft are delivered on time and in peak condition.

  • Team Orchestration: Lead and motivate a team of technicians and mechanics. Determine the specific tools, materials, and specialized skill sets required for every task.

  • Defect Rectification: Proactively diagnose and resolve technical issues, prioritizing defects to maintain high system reliability and minimize deferred maintenance.

2. Specialized Engineering & Troubleshooting

  • Rapid Response: Travel to aircraft locations at short notice to perform professional troubleshooting and emergency defect rectification with maximum efficiency.

  • Collaborative Problem Solving: Work directly with OEMs, vendors, and suppliers to engineer solutions for complex technical problems affecting flight operations.

  • Expert Support: Provide specialist guidance to the QE Maintenance, CAMO, and Engineering departments to assist in the development of maintenance work packages.

3. Quality, Safety & Governance

  • Certification & Release: Take responsibility for the final release of work, ensuring all tasks meet the rigorous standards of the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA).

  • Process Improvement: Continuously review work procedures and equipment, proposing and implementing solutions to enhance operational effectiveness.

  • Mentorship: Provide critical on-the-job training and guidance to junior mechanics, fostering a culture of continuous technical improvement.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience: * Minimum of 5 years of job-related aircraft certifying experience.

    • Proven experience within an EASA or TCCA Part 145 organization.

    • Previous work with recognized corporate jet types, ideally those currently in the Qatar Executive fleet.

  • Licensing: * Holder of an ICAO Type II / EASA Part 66 B1 / QCAA license.

    • Must hold at least one full type rating for the Qatar Executive main fleet.

  • Preferred Type Ratings:

    • Gulfstream: G700 / G650 / G650ER (BR725)

    • Global Express: XRS / 5000 (BR710)

  • Education: Degree, Diploma, or Vocational qualification in Aircraft Maintenance.

  • Core Competencies: * Exceptional decision-making skills under pressure.

    • Proficient in interpreting complex technical manuals and regulatory documents.

    • Strong command of written and spoken English.
