Cashier – Pepiliyana Branch

Toyota Lanka (Private) Limited , a proud member of the Toyota Group Japan and the sole authorized distributor for Toyota and HINO in Sri Lanka, is seeking a meticulous and reliable Cashier for our Pepiliyana branch. As a key representative of our frontline finance team, you will ensure the seamless execution of all financial transactions, upholding the integrity and professionalism associated with the world’s most loved automobile brand. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong foundation in accounting and the technical ability to operate within modern ERP systems.

The Role: Financial Transactions & Cash Governance

As the Branch Cashier, you will manage the daily inflow of payments and maintain absolute accuracy in our financial records.

• Transaction Processing: Accurately handle and process all customer payments, including cash, credit cards, and checks , ensuring every transaction is recorded correctly in the system.

• Cashiering Excellence: Execute the cashier function with high precision, minimizing discrepancies and adhering to strict internal financial controls.

• Daily Settlement: Manage and balance daily cash accounts, ensuring that physical holdings match system records at the end of every shift.

• Reconciliations: Maintain up-to-date bank and account reconciliations, ensuring branch-level financial data is consistently audit-ready.

• Reporting: Prepare periodic transaction reports for branch management and the Head Office Finance team, providing clear visibility into daily collections.

• ERP Operations: Utilize in-house ERP systems and MS Excel to record and track all financial movements in real-time.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a disciplined individual with a strong sense of accountability and a commitment to customer excellence.

• Education: Successful completion of the GCE A/L examination.

• Professional Credentials: Part qualification in AAT or a Diploma-level qualification in Finance is required.

• Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in a similar cashiering or frontline finance role.

• Technical Skills: * Proven ability to work in a computerized environment.

  • Hands-on experience with ERP Systems .

  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel for data entry and basic reporting.

• Location Requirement: Candidates must live in close proximity to the Toyota Lanka Pepiliyana branch.

• Soft Skills: * Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.

  • High level of integrity and honesty.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills for handling customer payments professionally.
