Senior QA/QC Engineer – Structural & Civil Works

We are seeking a technically rigorous and highly disciplined Senior QA/QC Engineer to lead the quality assurance and control functions for our major structural projects. In this high-impact role, you will be the primary guardian of structural integrity, ensuring that every material, method, and measurement aligns perfectly with project specifications and global engineering codes. You will act as the technical bridge between site operations and consultancy approval, managing the project lifecycle within a sophisticated EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) environment.

The Role: Structural Integrity & Quality Governance

As the Senior QA/QC Engineer, you will oversee the full spectrum of quality compliance, from technical data evaluation to final site inspections.

• Technical Evaluation: Rigorously review and verify technical data sheets for structural materials, ensuring all documentation meets project specifications before consultant submission.

• Methodology & Approval: Develop comprehensive Method Statements for all structural works and liaise with consultants to secure timely technical approvals.

• Inspection & Testing: * Manage formal Inspection Requests (IR) and coordinate on-site structural inspections.

  • Supervise third-party testing and conduct internal tests to verify compliance with international standards.

• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain meticulous quality records, including test reports and ISO-compliant documentation. Prepare detailed QA/QC reports for internal and client reviews.

• Code Compliance: Ensure all construction activities adhere strictly to local and international codes, such as IS, ACI, and BSI.

• Non-Conformance Management: Identify quality deviations and work closely with site engineers and contractors to implement effective corrective actions.

• Equipment Calibration: Oversee the maintenance and calibration of all inspection tools to ensure the highest accuracy in structural measurements.

Your Profile

We are looking for a seasoned engineer with a “zero-defect” mindset and the coordination skills to manage quality across diverse stakeholder groups.

• Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a QA/QC Engineer specifically in a civil/structural capacity.

• Technical Mastery:

  • Deep knowledge of structural procedures and heavy civil works.

  • In-depth understanding of international codes: IS (Indian Standards), ACI (American Concrete Institute), and BSI (British Standards).

  • Proven familiarity with the Project Lifecycle within EPC and general construction environments.

• Core Competencies:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with consultants and contractors.

  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks in a fast-paced site environment.
