Sales Analyst – DHL (Sri Lanka)

How will you contribute to the success of DHL?

As a Sales Analyst, you will be the engine behind our data-driven decision-making. Your role is to transform complex datasets into actionable insights that fuel our growth, optimize our margins, and strengthen our market position. You will work at the intersection of Sales, Finance, and Operations to ensure our commercial strategies are backed by accurate, high-impact analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Strategic Insights

Trend Identification: Analyze shipment, revenue, and customer data to pinpoint emerging market trends and untapped growth opportunities.
Performance Reporting: Prepare periodic sales performance reports, incentive calculations, and executive dashboards for senior management review.
Profitability Monitoring: Track and evaluate targets, yields, volumes, and profitability across specific customers, products, and trade lanes.
Commercial Support: Provide critical data analysis to support high-value RFQs and strategic tender submissions.

Forecasting & Pipeline Management

Projections: Assist in developing accurate sales volume forecasts and revenue projections to aid in resource planning.
CRM Integrity: Ensure the absolute accuracy and integrity of CRM data and sales pipeline information.
Retention & Margins: Offer data-backed recommendations to improve customer retention rates and enhance overall margin performance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Team Alignment: Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure data consistency and alignment across the organization.
System Management: Navigate and manage multiple internal systems and platforms to maintain a unified “source of truth” for sales data.

Do you have what it takes?

Education: Successful completion of GCE Advanced Level examinations. A full or partial professional qualification from a recognized university or institute (e.g., in Statistics, Business, or Finance) is highly desirable.
Experience: A minimum of one year of industry experience, preferably within logistics, supply chain, or a data-intensive commercial environment.
Technical Skills: * Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency (mandatory).
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI or Tableau).
- Strong numerical and analytical capabilities.

- Meticulous attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive analytical mindset.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to present data findings to diverse stakeholders.
- High adaptability in learning and handling various internal software platforms.
