Role Overview

The Group Technical Architect plays a pivotal role in the engineering leadership of the organization. You are the primary visionary responsible for designing and implementing complex, large-scale technical solutions that align with core business objectives and global industry standards. Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Solution Design & Alignment

  • Requirement Orchestration: Bridge the gap between stakeholder needs and business goals by gathering complex requirements and crafting innovative technical solutions.

  • Lifecycle Oversight: Maintain a bird’s-eye view of the entire development lifecycle to ensure architectural integrity from conception to deployment.

3. Technology Evolution & Governance

  • Future-Proofing: Proactively upgrade knowledge and work with emerging technologies to ensure that all solutions remain current, competitive, and high-quality.

  • Standards Enforcement: Review all architecture and design deliverables to ensure absolute adherence to industry best practices and internal architectural standards.

  • Compliance & Governance: Establish and enforce rigorous governance and compliance measures to mitigate technical debt and security risks.

4. Talent Development & Risk Mitigation

  • Capacity Building: Train and develop engineering teams to ensure a consistent supply of highly skilled manpower across the relevant technology stacks.

  • Knowledge Transfer: Foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning to mitigate delivery risks associated with specialized skill gaps.

Skill Requirements

  • Architectural Mastery: Advanced proficiency in designing distributed systems, microservices, or enterprise-scale cloud architectures.

  • Technical Breadth & Depth: Extensive hands-on experience across multiple modern technology stacks (e.g., Java/Spring, .NET, Python, or Go) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Governance Frameworks: Strong understanding of architectural frameworks (such as TOGAF or Zachman) and the ability to implement effective technical governance.

  • Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts into strategic language for C-suite executives and non-technical stakeholders.

Other Requirements

  • Professional Experience: Significant experience in a lead architecture role, preferably managing global or multi-entity technical ecosystems.

  • Analytical Reasoning: Strong critical thinking skills with a focus on resolving high-level system bottlenecks and architectural trade-offs.

  • Mentorship Track Record: Proven success in coaching and elevating the technical capabilities of senior and lead developers.

  • Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field from a reputable institution.
