We are looking for a highly technical and process-driven Automation Engineer to join our team, specifically focusing on the Rewst automation platform. In this role, you will be the architect behind our Managed Service Provider (MSP) efficiency, turning manual, repetitive IT tasks into elegant, automated workflows. You will bridge the gap between “off-the-shelf” tools and custom-coded solutions, utilizing Python, PowerShell, and Jinja to integrate complex systems via REST APIs . The Role: Workflow Architecture & API Integration

As an Automation Engineer, you will own the end-to-end development lifecycle of our internal and client-facing automation scripts.

• Rewst Workflow Development:Design,build,and maintain sophisticated automation workflows within the Rewst platform,focusing on scalability and reusability.

• Custom Scripting & Templating:Develop robust automation modules usingPython and PowerShell,leveragingJinja templatingandJSONdata manipulation for complex data processing.

• Advanced API Integration:Build deep integrations across the Microsoft ecosystem (M365, Azure, Microsoft Graph) and core MSP stacks (ConnectWise, Autotask, RMMs) using OpenAPI and Swagger documentation.

• MSP Operations Automation:Modernize the “MSP Engine Room” by automating user provisioning/deprovisioning,ticket lifecycle management,alert remediation,and cross-platform reporting.

• Version Control & DevOps:Maintain high code quality and collaboration standards by usingGitfor source control and following structured release management processes.

• Strategic Collaboration:Partner with Lead Automation Engineers and Infrastructure teams to identify “automation-first” opportunities and participate in architectural reviews.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a “Coder-Infrastructure Hybrid” who understands the logic of a script as well as the operational pain of a Service Desk.

• Experience: 3+ yearsof dedicated experience developing automation workflows,scripts,or API-based solutions.

• Technical Mastery:

  • Expertise inPythonandPowerShell.

  • Strong command ofJinja templatingandJSONmanipulation.

  • Deep understanding ofREST APIs,including the ability to interpretOpenAPI/Swaggerdocumentation.

• Platform Knowledge:

  • Proven experience withMicrosoft Graph,Azure,and M365 environments.

  • Familiarity withGitfor version control.

• Industry Context (Highly Desirable):

  • Prior experience within aManaged Service Provider (MSP)or IT Infrastructure team.

  • Familiarity with PSA/RMM tools likeConnectWise Manage/AutomateorAutotask.
