Guest Relations Executive | Sheraton Hotels & Resorts (Marriott International)

The Role: Guest Experience & Operational Excellence
As a Guest Relations Executive, you will be the primary point of contact for our guests, ensuring their journey is seamless from check-in to departure while maintaining high standards of financial and operational accuracy.

Personalized Arrival: Process guest check-ins by verifying identity and payment, assigning rooms, and activating keys. Ensure Marriott Bonvoy/Rewards information is accurately captured.

Financial Stewardship: Manage guest accounts, verify rates against market codes, and secure payments. Process all payment types, vouchers, and charges while ensuring a balanced bank at the start and end of every shift.

Guest Advocacy: Actively anticipate and address service needs. Provide directions, property information, and follow up on all guest requests to ensure they have been met with genuine appreciation.

Operational Reporting: Compile and review daily reports, logs, and contingency lists. Complete essential cashiering and closing reports in line with accounting procedures.

Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all company policies, including loss prevention protocols. Notify security of any reported theft and ensure all work conditions meet safety standards.
Leadership & Team Collaboration
In addition to guest-facing duties, you will support the management team in maintaining a positive and professional work environment.

Mentorship & Coaching: Assist in training and motivating employees, serving as a role model for the “Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy.”

Inter-departmental Coordination: Maintain positive working relationships across the property to reach common goals and ensure quality standards are consistently met.

Professional Communication: Use clear, professional language in all verbal and written interactions, including telephone etiquette and accurate document preparation.
Physical Requirements & Qualifications
This role requires a blend of professional presence and the ability to manage the physical demands of a busy hotel lobby.

Physical Presence: Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods across a work shift.

Handling & Mobility: Move, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in using computer systems and Point of Sale (POS) terminals to locate and enter work-related information.
Your Profile
We are looking for a candidate who embodies the Sheraton mission and possesses the following:

Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

Experience: * At least 1 year of related work experience in guest services or hospitality.

At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a leadership or coordination role.

Attributes: Detail-oriented, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to providing access and opportunity in a diverse environment.
