Role Overview

As a Lead Consultant within the Banking and Financial Services (FSS) service line, you will be the strategic anchor for high-stakes client engagements. This role (CSG) is designed for a seasoned professional who can lead the end-to-end consulting lifecycle—from initial problem definition and diagnosis to the final design and deployment of global financial solutions. You will act as a bridge between complex business challenges and innovative technology, ensuring that every engagement delivers measurable value while navigating the digital transformation journey of our banking partners.

Key Responsibilities

Engagement Leadership & Strategic Advisory

End-to-End Delivery: Lead the engagement effort for high-quality consulting solutions, overseeing every phase from problem diagnosis to full-scale deployment.
Proposal Governance: Review and refine proposals prepared by the consulting team, providing expert guidance to mitigate risks and resolve potential architectural or business issues.
Change Management: Identify organizational change requirements and design structured, multi-channel communication strategies to help clients transition during digital shifts.

Team Coaching & Visionary Leadership

Talent Development: Create a clear vision for your team, providing subject matter expertise and training in specialized financial domains.
Performance Culture: Motivate and inspire team members through timely feedback and recognition, fostering a high-performance environment.
Mentorship: Serve as a mentor to junior consultants, elevating the collective consulting capability of the unit.

Organizational & Unit Contributions

Strategic Initiatives: Act as a key contributor to unit-level and organizational goals, ensuring all solutions adhere to corporate guidelines and quality processes.
Thought Leadership: Apply strong business acumen and cross-industry insights to stay ahead of latest technology trends and financial regulations.
Pre-Sales Excellence: Lead pre-sales processes, identifying new opportunities within the FSS sector and articulating unique value propositions to prospects.

Technical & Professional Requirements

Core Competencies

Pre-Sales Mastery: Strong proficiency in pre-sales processes, including solutioning, estimation, and client presentations.
Project Management: Deep understanding of the SDLC and Agile methodologies, with the ability to manage complex project timelines and global teams.
Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of financial processes for various project types and familiarity with modern pricing models.
Domain Expertise: Extensive knowledge in two or three industry domains, specifically within Banking and Financial Services.

Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop value-creating strategies that enable clients to innovate and drive profitability.
Collaborative Problem Solving: Logical thinking and advanced problem-solving skills combined with an inherent ability to collaborate across functions.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech).
Experience: Mid-to-senior level consulting experience with a proven track record in the financial services industry.
