Program Manager | IT-PMO Team

Role Overview

As a Program Manager within the IT Project Management Office (PMO), you will be a cornerstone of our digital evolution. You will lead the delivery of large-scale, complex IT programs that drive innovation across our global operations. This role demands a seasoned leader who can navigate the intricacies of high-value vendor partnerships, manage substantial procurement cycles, and mentor a high-performing team. You will be responsible for ensuring that our technology investments translate into seamless, world-class experiences for our customers and employees alike.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Program Leadership: Orchestrate the successful delivery of large-scale IT programs, ensuring they remain aligned with organizational goals, timelines, and budgets.
Vendor & Contract Management: Serve as the primary expert in managing IT partners and complex contracts, ensuring high service standards and maximum value for the organization.
IT Procurement Excellence: Lead procurement initiatives for the IT function, leveraging your experience to streamline vendor selection and relationship management.
Team Development: Set a clear strategic direction for the PMO team, delegating effectively while providing the coaching and mentorship necessary to foster a culture of teamwork and professional growth.
Operational Governance: Implement and maintain rigorous project and program management standards to ensure transparency, accountability, and successful outcomes.

About You: Skills & Competencies

Proven Delivery Track Record: You have a demonstrated history of leading large-scale programs from inception to successful closure.
Managerial Prowess: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage complex workflows and develop the technical and soft skills of your subordinates.
Contractual Expertise: Deep understanding of IT contract frameworks and the ability to manage multi-vendor ecosystems effectively.
Analytical Thinking: Ability to solve complex project challenges while maintaining a focus on the broader strategic roadmap.

Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
Total Experience: Minimum of 15 years of job-related experience in the IT sector.
Specialized Experience: * At least 5 years specifically focused on IT procurement and vendor management.
- A minimum of 3 years in the successful delivery of large-scale IT programs.
Certification: PMP certification or equivalent demonstrable experience in Project and Program Management.
Industry Advantage: Prior experience in the Airline Industry is highly desirable but not mandatory.
