Senior Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of IT projects across diverse client environments. Reporting to the Service Delivery Lead, this is a hands-on, senior-level role focused on ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with commercial and technical objectives. While this position does not have direct reports, you will provide critical leadership within the project lifecycle to ensure seamless service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Execution

End-to-End Delivery: Lead the planning and execution of varied IT initiatives, including cloud migrations, infrastructure builds, SharePoint projects, Intune deployments, and security upgrades.
Scope & Resource Management: Define project objectives and timelines while managing multiple concurrent projects ranging from quick-turnaround tasks to complex enterprise engagements.
Risk Mitigation: Proactively monitor progress, manage risk registers, and handle escalations to ensure timely resolution.

Collaboration & Client Engagement

Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the bridge between internal technical teams (Service Desk, NOC, Architects) and third-party vendors to ensure operational readiness for BAU (Business As Usual) handover.
Primary Point of Contact: Serve as the lead consultant for clients, facilitating workshops, stand-ups, and status updates to maintain high delivery confidence.
Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships through transparent and structured communication.

Governance & Commercial Management

Methodology Application: Utilize PRINCE2, Agile, or hybrid approaches to maintain project structure and quality standards.
Financial Oversight: Track project margins and financials, ensuring all change controls and variations are documented and raised according to governance processes.
Accuracy: Validate milestones and scope delivery to ensure precise client billing and reporting.

Skills & Qualifications

Professional Experience: Proven track record delivering IT projects within a Managed Services (MSP), consulting, or enterprise environment.
Technical Literacy: A strong understanding of the Microsoft ecosystem (M365, Azure, Intune, Windows Server) and core networking principles.
Strategic Delivery: Expert knowledge of project management frameworks and the ability to pivot between different methodologies based on project needs.
Adaptability: Exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-velocity, fast-paced environment.

Certifications (Highly Regarded)

PRINCE2 Practitioner
PMP (Project Management Professional)
AgilePM or equivalent certifications
