PROS CPQ Developer | Pricing & Quotation Strategy | Engineering Services

Role Overview

As a PROS CPQ Developer within our Engineering Services line, you will be the technical architect behind high-performance pricing and configuration solutions. This role is designed for a specialist who can bridge the gap between complex commercial strategies and seamless technical execution. You will leverage the PROS Smart Price Optimization suite to automate the quote-to-cash lifecycle, ensuring our clients can deliver rapid, accurate, and optimized pricing in competitive global markets.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Configuration

Architecture & Development: Design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade solutions using the PROS CPQ and Pricing platforms.
Pricing Strategy: Configure complex pricing logic, business rules, and automated workflows within the PROS environment to drive revenue growth.
Model Optimization: Utilize PROS Smart Price Optimization tools to refine pricing models and improve commercial decision-making.

Integration & Automation

System Connectivity: Lead the integration of PROS with core enterprise platforms, including ERP (SAP, Oracle), CRM (Salesforce/SFDC), and modern eCommerce engines.
Data Pipelines: Develop and maintain robust APIs and data pipelines to facilitate seamless pricing and quoting automation.
Performance Tuning: Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to pricing logic, configuration bottlenecks, and system performance.

Collaborative Delivery

Requirements Translation: Partner with business stakeholders to transform high-level commercial requirements into detailed technical specifications.
Full-Cycle Support: Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle, from initial unit testing and SIT to deployment and post-production support.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical designs, configuration manuals, and best-practice repositories.

Technical & Professional Requirements

Experience: * 5+ years in software development or enterprise application implementation.
- 2+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience with PROS CPQ or PROS Pricing solutions.
Technical Mastery:
- Proficient in REST APIs, SQL, and modern data integration tools.
- Deep understanding of Quote-to-Cash (QTC) processes, product bundling, and sales operations.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and DevOps workflows.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) or Computer Science.
Certifications: PROS Certification (CPQ or Pricing) is highly preferred.

Preferred Domain & Specialized Skills

Industry Domain: Experience in Energy (Oil & Gas), B2B, or high-scale Manufacturing sectors.
Cross-Platform Knowledge: Familiarity with alternative CPQ stacks (Apttus, Oracle Cloud CPQ, or SAP CPQ) and ROI calculators.
Functional Areas: Mastery in Catalogue Management, Business Rule Configuration, and Quote-to-Order lifecycle management.
