Consultant | Business Consulting (Telecom, OSS/BSS)
Role OverviewΒ
As a Business Consultant within our Telecom practice, you will drive digital transformation for global communication service providers. This role requires a unique blend of deep industry domain knowledge and technical fluency in OSS/BSS ecosystems. You will act as a strategic advisor, helping clients navigate the complexities of B2B growth, customer analytics, and network evolution. From initial requirement gathering to managing large-scale, multi-vendor Agile programs, you will be instrumental in delivering “leading-edge” solutions that redefine telecom operations.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Consulting & Business Analysis

Requirements Management: Lead the identification and documentation of business requirements, translating them into robust functional specifications and “to-be” process models.

B2B Strategy: Consult with clients to analyze B2B segments for growth, designing sophisticated customer analytics and growth models.

Operational Redesign: Drive customer-centric redesigns of business processes using gap analysis and industry-standard consulting methodologies.
Project & Program Leadership

Agile Delivery: Manage large-scale projects and programs in complex, multi-vendor environments, leveraging Agile (Scrum) principles and DevOps capabilities.

Technology Management: Oversee technology vendors and client stakeholders to ensure seamless end-to-end delivery of IT strategies and digital solutions.

Change Management: Implement next-generation BSS/OSS products, supporting areas such as Wireless Networks, Network-as-a-Service (NaaS), Omni-channel engagement, and Revenue Assurance.
Sales & Firm Building

Pursuit Leadership: Lead sales efforts for telecom prospects, articulating unique value propositions through practical use cases and business case development.

Thought Leadership: Represent the firm at industry conferences and contribute to internal knowledge management, recruitment, and firm-building activities.

Digital Advocacy: Provide leadership on emerging trends including AI/ML, RPA, Big Data, IoT, and Cloud technologies.
Technical & Professional Requirements

Experience: * At least 3 years of dedicated experience in Business Analysis and project management within the Telecom industry.

Proven track record in managing complex IT programs (mobility, cloud, or data analytics).

Domain Expertise: * Deep understanding of OSS/BSS products and B2B marketing processes in telecom.

Hands-on experience with insights/reporting platforms like Power-BI.

Education: * Bachelor of Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).

Full-time MBA/PGDM from a Tier-1 or Tier-2 B-School.

Consulting Background: Previous experience in a leading global consulting firm is highly preferred.

Soft Skills: Exceptional stakeholder management, presentation, and client-interfacing abilities.
