SAP ABAP Developer | S/4HANA & BTP Integration

Role Overview

We are seeking an SAP ABAP Developer with a strong focus on HANA and Cloud Integration to join our Information Systems team. This role is designed for a technical professional who can bridge the gap between core S/4HANA systems and the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). You will be responsible for designing and implementing complex integrations, utilizing modern ABAP paradigms like CDS and AMDP, and building seamless data flows across hybrid cloud and on-premise landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

SAP ABAP & HANA Development

Modern ABAP Mastery: Design and implement robust software solutions using ABAP on HANA, including CDS Views and AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures).
Architecture: Apply a deep understanding of S/4HANA architecture to build efficient, scalable application logic and system components.
Optimization: Perform rigorous unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning to ensure high-speed processing and resource efficiency.

Integration & Middleware

BTP Integration Suite: Architect and develop end-to-end integration flows using SAP BTP (CPI) and API Management.
Protocol Expertise: Develop and consume OData, REST, and SOAP APIs to facilitate communication between internal and external systems.
Hybrid Landscapes: Support complex integration scenarios connecting S/4HANA with cloud solutions such as Ariba, SuccessFactors, and Fieldglass, as well as third-party on-premise systems.
Data Flow Management: Manage message mappings, specialized adapters, error-handling frameworks, and real-time system monitoring.

Innovation & Global Delivery

Technical Excellence: Stay current with integration patterns and middleware concepts to support global rollout and digital transformation projects.
Cloud-Ready Skills: (Preferred) Exposure to SAP CAP/RAP models and CI/CD pipelines (gCTS/CTS+).

Technical & Professional Requirements

Experience: 3–5 years of dedicated SAP experience with a focus on strong ABAP development.
Core Technical Stack:
- ABAP on HANA (CDS, AMDP).
- SAP BTP Integration Suite / CPI.
- OData Services & REST APIs.
Professional Certifications: SAP BTP or ABAP certifications are highly desirable.
Education: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech).

Preferred & “Good to Have” Skills

BTP Ecosystem: Experience with SAP Event Mesh, Workflow, or Business Rules.
Frontend Integration: Familiarity with SAP Fiori / UI5 integration within a BTP environment.
Specialized Workflow: Knowledge of SAP ABAP Workflow (specifically SRM or similar frameworks).
