L3 Engineer

We are looking for a proactive and highly technical L3 Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be a key resource for resolving complex technical challenges, mentoring junior staff, and driving innovation through automation and process improvement.

The ideal candidate balances deep technical competence with strong empathy, clear communication, and a “think-outside-the-box” approach to identifying system inefficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

Advanced Support & Escalation: Serve as the primary escalation point for L1 and L2 team members, troubleshooting complex issues to minimize downtime and maintain strict SLAs.
Project & Deployment Management: Lead setup activities for small to medium-scale deployments and manage standard configurations for ICT systems (computers, network devices, and peripherals).
Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Coach and mentor junior staff, identify upskilling opportunities, and develop training materials or SOPs to improve team performance.
System Optimization: Monitor performance, research new product offerings, and propose creative solutions to reduce complexity and enhance security.
Vendor Relations: Maintain and leverage relationships with external vendors and consultants to ensure the best possible solutions for the company.

Essential Requirements

Security & Microsoft Ecosystem

Security Focus: In-depth knowledge of security best practices.
Microsoft Security Suite: Hands-on implementation of Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Lighthouse, Purview, Entra, and Intune.
Operating Systems: Expert-level knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Windows Server (2012 through 2022), including Remote Desktop Server implementations.

Infrastructure & Cloud

Networking: Experience with Switches, VLANs, WAPs, VPNs, DNS, and Routers.
Security Infrastructure: Hands-on with Firewalls (SonicWall, Fortinet, Cisco), plus Spam/Web filtering and Endpoint protection.
Virtualization: Proficiency in deploying and maintaining Hyper-V and VMware environments.
Cloud Platforms: Management of Microsoft 365, Azure/Azure AD, AWS, or Google Cloud.
Backup Solutions: Configuration of Arcserve, Veeam, or Azure Backup.

Automation & Scripting

Scripting: Proficiency in PowerShell or VBScript.
Advanced Tools: Experience with (or a strong desire to rapidly learn) automation tools such as Roost, Ginger, and general RPA (Robotic Process Automation).
