Senior Python Engineer | Global Family Office

Role Overview

On behalf of a prestigious Global Family Office in Abu Dhabi, Charterhouse is seeking a Senior Python Engineer to join their high-performance technology division. In this role, you will be a key architect of the backend infrastructure, building robust, scalable server-side applications and high-acuity APIs that power a suite of world-class B2C products. Key Responsibilities

1. Backend Engineering & API Design

System Architecture: Design, develop, and maintain the server-side logic and APIs that provide the foundational functionality for web and mobile front-end applications.
Database Management: Manage and optimize complex database structures—utilizing both MySQL and MongoDB—to ensure data integrity, write efficient queries, and support high-volume traffic.
Full-Stack Collaboration: Work closely with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration and with DevOps teams to facilitate smooth, automated deployments.

2. Security & Performance Optimization

Security First: Implement rigorous security measures, including secure authentication, role-based authorization, and high-standard encryption to protect sensitive family office and user data.
Performance Tuning: Troubleshoot, profile, and refine backend processes to improve latency, throughput, and overall system reliability.
Third-Party Integration: Build and maintain reliable data exchange interfaces with external services and third-party APIs.

3. AI & Innovation Support

AI-Powered Solutions: Collaborate with the AI and Product teams to integrate intelligent features into core applications, supporting the deployment of cutting-edge, agent-driven models.
Modern Tooling: Continuously identify and implement modern tools and technologies that improve development efficiency and system scalability.

Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Technical Mastery: At least 3 years of deep experience in backend development with a focus on Python.
Database Proficiency: Hands-on experience with both relational (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) database technologies.
DevOps & Workflow: Essential experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
Preferred Experience: Exposure to SRE/DevOps practices and experience in AI product development will be considered a significant advantage.
